Tony & Kelly { Peachtree City, GA }

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting with my buddy Mark Turner in Peachtree City, Ga. Tony and Kelly are such genuine, kind people, and it was a special treat for me to be able to document their celebration and their worship during the Catholic mass.

This was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever seen. When the music that Kelly entered to began to play, Tony closed his eyes and began to pray quietly. When he heard the doors open, his face lit up with a smile.

He kept his eyes closed until she was just a few feet from him, then he looked up to see his beautiful bride.

After the ceremony we stepped outside for a few portraits, the we headed to the Wyndham for the reception.

Tales of Mere Existence: Running out of Gas

Trouble.

Hope.

Disappointment.

Stranded.

Help!

Dinner.

Dinner date.

Boredom sets in.

RESCUE!

One of my friends and faithful blog stalkers informed me today that it has been too long since I’ve posted on my blog, so I decided to share my weekend adventure with you guys. After shooting an incredible wedding with my friend Matt Yung on Saturday, I began to head home when I realized that I NEEDED to get gas. When I say NEEDED, I don’t mean I had a spastic inclination to run to the gas station and top off my nearly full tank like most everyone else in Atlanta is doing every day. I mean I NEEDED gas or I wasn’t going to make it home, so I pulled off of I-285 to look for a station. I drove for a few miles before I found a line for gas. I got in line, put my car in park and turned it off to conserve what little gas I had left. 45 minutes later, the line hadn’t moved an inch, so I decided to hunt elsewhere. I was hopeful when I saw a sign for a Kroger gas station, so I pulled off of the main road to find it. When I reached it, I found out that both this station and my car were out of gas. There I was, stranded in the Kroger parking lot. So what did I do? What else would I do? I called for help, grabbed something to eat, then pulled out my camera and started taking pictures :) I hope this amuses you as much as it (now) amuses me!

LOLOLOL That was hilarious!

Cheyenne Schultz-

The pics of your bored in your car CRACK me up! :)

Lisette Price-

How adorable are you?! Way to make a fun blog post and look on the bright side of a not so fun situation!

Michelle-

:( So sorry to hear you ran out of gas! But at least it wasn’t the side of the road some where! I was almost with you this past weekend when I had an event. I drove for an hour looking for gas before giving up and going to my event. But I was lucky enough to have my husband come and take my car to get gas while I worked the event.

Lauren- Sweet Magnolia-

AWWW!!! I totally know the feeling. I went home to my parents house the week before Ike, totally not thinking anything about the gas situation, and then got stranded for almost 2 weeks, and THEN paid 4.99 per gallon to get home! :( BUT, I made it. Cute post! Glad you’re home safe. So when do we get to shoot a wedding together? :D

New “About Me” Gallery

Hey there, blog readers! This morning I finished a project that has been in the works for a while, and I’m so excited to finally have it incorporated as part of my web presence. I have always had a hard time fitting my personality into a few paragraphs, so I decided to quit agonizing over a few words and instead provide my potential clients and web surfers a gallery of images that will tell you more about who I really am. You can click on the link below to be taken directly to my new “About Me” page on my website. I would love hear whatever feedback you have for me! :)

Michelle-

I love it! So unique and since they say a picture is worth a thousand words, I feel like I know so much more about your personality. And I’ve never met you! Great job.

Anne Almasy-

Lauren, your new About page is SO fresh and SO YOU! I love it! I want to see a photo of you dancing on the “I love to celebrate life” page. Or maybe you wearing clown hair. Not sure which. Ha.
